Beers of the Month – January 26

The Pêche Mel Bush has been brewed since 2009 by Brasserie Dubuisson. The natural fruit aromas and extracts provide a beautiful harmony with the bitterness of the Bush Caractère, creating a full-mouthed and completely balanced beer. The Pêche Mel Bush is a filtered, top-fermented beer.
This light ale has a deep golden color with a smooth, frothy head. It is very perfumed with an unmistakable hint of aromatic hops and a fruity (citrus) note from the spices used in production. The body has an intense yet distinctive bitterness and a strong malty taste which is a delight to the palate. The overall effect, however, is a slight dryness and hoppiness. All these features make it an excellent and very drinkable beer.
Straffe Hendrik Wild is an abbey tripel refermented with wild yeast. Brewed by Bruges brewer Halve Maan Brewery. Straffe Hendrik Wild pours a golden colour, with aromas of fruit and caramel malt. It can be enjoyed fresh or aged in the bottle for a few years as the flavours continue to develop.
